The west end starting point of the Tie Lushan summit pipe crossing section is located in Youpu Village, Shenwan Town, and the east end endpoint is located in Zhanyong Village, Tanzhou Town. The total length is approximately 2653m, with a maximum burial depth of 286m. DN1820*22mm steel pipes are used. During construction, the jacking operations commenced simultaneously at both the east and west ends, with each end advancing approximately 1325m, and the pipes were connected at the midpoint within the mountain.

The west end of the Tie Lushan summit pipe jacking section starts at Youpu Village, Shenwan Town, and the east end ends at Zhanyong Village, Tanzhou Town, with a total length of approximately 2653m and a maximum burial depth of 286m. Construction involves simultaneous jacking from both the east and west ends, with each end jacking approximately 1325m, and the pipes meeting and connecting in the middle of the mountain.

Advancement Distance

The rock strata of this project have a high quartz content, resulting in strong edge cutter abrasion and high hardness. Our company uses DC53 material for the edge roller cutter ring, increasing its service life and preventing cracking and ring breakage. This has received consistent praise from customers.

Challenges

This pipe jacking section has complex geological conditions, with significant variations in rock strata lithology and high hard rock strength, reaching up to 145 MPa. Currently, the longest record for hard rock pipe jacking in China is approximately 500 meters, while the longest record for soft soil pipe jacking exceeds 2000 meters. The Tie Lushan rock stratum pipe jacking crossing of more than 1300 meters is the longest case of one-time jacking for hard rock pipe jacking in China.
