The West Chongqing Water Resources Allocation Project is located in western Chongqing. The project's water receiving area covers the region north of the Yangtze River and west of the Jialing River in Chongqing. The project's construction task is to provide water for urban and rural life and industry in West Chongqing through newly built water intake projects from the Yangtze River and Jialing River, while also improving the ecological environment of rivers in the water receiving area and returning the agricultural irrigation water that has been occupied. The project will construct 448.5Km of new water transmission pipelines, including 361Km of pipelines and approximately 83.10Km of tunnels.
